Mother Saraswati is embodiment of knowledge and mother Lakshmim is goddess of wealth and riches whereas mother Parvati slays negativity and evil in life. Devi Maha Purana consists of 12 Skands – 12 Sections, 118 Adhyays – 118 Chapters and 18000 Shlokas – 18000 Verses. It was written by Sage Ved Vyas who has glorified Maa Bhagwati from the begining till end in this scripture.
History says that Sage Ved Vyas narrated and preached the entire Devi Bhagwad Katha to King Janmejay – great grandson of Arjuna, son of King Parikshit.
